I loved this exercise. Dacher (2006) says to see another, be present with another, acknowledge another, hear another, be present with another, and feel one with another is a gift for oneself and the world. We get so caught up in our own "stuff" that we forget about everyone else. I will use this exercise the next time I feel angry, and maybe it can help me to control that anger.
Integral Assessment
I feel that my emotional development needs some help. I need to learn how to be happier. I also need to learn how to open-up more and not be scared to care about others romantically. I will do all of the exercises that I have been taught from this class to help me grow.
I need some help on my emotional development as well. I have always allowed selfish, bad people in my life that have taken advantage of me, especially in relationships with men. I am looking back into my childhood to find my answer. My father was not emotionally connected and traveled all the time so my mother was the one who took care of us. It job was stressful and kept him away..since doing the exercises I have been able to forgive, release some emotions I have been holding onto and moving forward.
