The person that I think about during the meditation is my daughter. I have tons of love and tenderness for her. I was very emotional when I allowed loving feelings to expand within my heart. This was a nice feeling. I have never taken the time to release these types of feelings towards myself. I had good and bad thoughts and images come in and out during this process. I gave all of them equal care. I welcomed loving-kindness into my heart like Dacher suggested. The next visualization exercise was to think of someone who is suffering. During the exercise, I would think of the suffering they were experiencing, and when I breathed out it would be health and happiness directed toward them. I do feel that this exercise helped me create loving kindness that will help diminish my self-centeredness and help quiet my mind.
Mental Workout:
Human mind demands normal workout routines just as any other component of your entire body. You might discover it is really complicated to try something new at first. There’s nothing to worry due to the fact if you continue to try your human brain tends to become fitter. Once your mind reaches a fitter state, you will come across it incredibly quick to undertake a process. This is probably the most crucial component of enhancing your memory.
Just one on the most effective workouts for human brain is laughter. Laughter is ideal for exciting the whole entire body of an person. It tends to free energy from your brain and de-stresses the muscles and makes you a more lively person. You will be more aware of everything around you. There was a song the went "Free your mind and the rest will follow, be color blind don't be so shallow."
Sonoma, great insight, I preached a Sermon in my early days from that very song. Free your mind and the REST will follow. I did not look at it from the point that all things that should happen will happen but from the fact that when you mind is free you can rest of I meant rest in Jesus. But there is rest for anyone that has a free mind. Don't be shallow is a statement that many should hear. We keep so much stuff garbled up inside that does not belong there. It is a wonderful thing when you learn that your mind is not the city dump and you cannot empty trash there. It is refreshing. Thanks.
